A new artificial intelligence model similar to ChatGPT can predict with great precision the lives of individuals as well as their risk of premature death, according to a recent study.
According to researchers from the Technical University of Denmark, the University of Copenhagen and Northeastern University behind the study published in the journal Nature Computational Science, this new AI system was trained life stories of six million people.
The Danish researchers analyzed compiled data related to the education, lifestyle and health of individuals, but also their income, occupation, addresses and working hours.
Scientists converted this data into words in order to train a large language model called “Life2vec” that resembles the technology behind AI applications, like ChatGPT.
Data from a group of people aged 35 to 65, half of whom died between 2016 and 2020, was analyzed by the AI model which managed to predict results such as personality traits with great accuracy and time of death.
According to these results, if some people can become old due to their job position and their high income, being a man with skills in a particular field or being affected by a mental illness is associated at a higher risk of premature death.
