Thiruvananthapuram goonda murder: Two in custody

Thiruvananthapuram | Two in custody in double murder case Arun G Rajeev and Deepak Lal have been remanded in custody in connection with the murder of Vishnu alias Manichan, a native of Vazhayala. The accused is Arun Pujari. They were taken into custody on the top of Nettayam hill. Police say he was stabbed in the head with a hammer.

Manichan is accused in the 2011 Vazhayala double murder case. He got into an argument over alcohol and ended up in murder. Manichan and Harikumar and the two accused had gathered at Aaram Lodge last night. A dispute over a song sung while intoxicated led to the murder. Meanwhile, police are investigating whether there was a conspiracy to provoke. An accompanying friend Harikumar from Tirumala was injured. He was admitted to the hospital. Harikumar took the room.

Manichan and Harikumar were staying in room number 125 of the lodge. People in the adjoining rooms said that the altercation took place around 10 pm. However, none of them were released. They said they heard noises for about half an hour. Manichan and Harikumar were rushed to hospital after police arrived. After the incident, police received CCTV footage of two people escaping on a bike. Following this, Arun and Deepak were soon caught. Both have already been convicted in some assault cases.
