According to weatherman Jules Geirnaerdt, wind gusts of up to almost 100 kilometers per hour were measured in Vlissingen. In the rest of Zeeland, wind gusts of between 80 and 90 kilometers per hour were registered. “It’s almost good for code orange,” says Geirnaerdt.
Truck driver Hans showed up in the radio program Zeeland wakes up know that he found last night’s wind stronger than during storm Isha. “That may be true,” Geirnaerdt responds. “Jocelyn stepped it up a notch. Isha turned out a bit less difficult than expected.”
Earlier this year we also had to deal with storm Henk. With storm Pia on December 21 of last year, this is already the fourth storm of the winter season.
The wind is still quite strong in Zeeland this morning, but the wind is gradually decreasing in strength. According to Geirnaerdt, we still have to take wind force 5 to 8 into account this morning.
