La 1 premieres the third season of ‘HIT’, the RTVE series starring Daniel Grao. The actor once once more plays the controversial Hugo Ibarra Toledo, a character marked by his traumatic past with an unconventional teaching method for the most problematic students. In this new season, dedicated to mental health, ‘HIT’ travels to La Palma to enter an addiction treatment center. Each episode will focus on a personality disorder and will be titled like a children’s story.

After two seasons focused on the world of education, ‘HIT’ addresses a topic that is at the forefront of current affairs and of maximum social interest: mental health in young people.

In addition, the season is set in La Palma, just following the eruption of the volcano in 2021, the consequences of which are also reflected in some plots. For a few weeks, the filming team toured various points of the island and municipalities such as Tazacorte and Santa Cruz de La Palma or the Gran Telescopio de Canarias in the Caldera de Taburiente.

Daniel Grao is joined by a new young cast made up of Francisca Aronsson, Ton Vieira, Juan Grandinetti, Roger Sahuquillo, Andy Duato, Mitch Martín, Carlota Trueba, Miranda Gallego and Josito Peña, which will also include Carmen Arrufat, star of the first season of HIT. The main cast is completed by Alejandro Jato, Cristina Alcázar, Carmen Balagué and Nur Levi, along with Mario Gas and Cristina Brondo.

This is how the third season of ‘HIT’ begins

In the first chapter, ‘Alice in Wonderland’, the action begins when Hugo visits an addiction treatment centre in La Palma for the first time, determined to confront his alcoholism. Once there, he experiences all kinds of doubts regarding his permanence, following meeting his fellow therapists and learning that one of the residents is Lena (Carmen Arrufat), the former student with whom he still has unfinished business.

HIT will have to give up his desire for prominence to be just another patient, and on this inner journey he will have a group of companions: seven boys and girls between 16 and 31 years old, behind whom are hidden stories as painful as life itself.
