Third attack in three days in Quetta: One dead, 10 injured

Pakistan Province of Balochistan capital of Quetta One person was killed and 10 injured in the late night attack.

According to the AP news agency, in this attack on Wednesday night, people sitting in a hotel were targeted with grenades.

This was the third attack in Quetta city in the last three days. Yesterday’s attack was carried out on a day when the Pakistani nation was celebrating the country’s Independence Day.

The separatist organization Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for all these attacks.

Arbab Kamran, the spokesperson of a hospital in Quetta, says that 10 people were injured and one died as a result of the attack.

The BLA and other smaller separatist groups have been behind the long-running secessionist insurgency in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

The provincial governments and the central government blame the insurgency on external elements and anti-national forces.

Pakistan’s government says it has contained the insurgency, but violence continues along the country’s southwestern borders with Iran and Afghanistan.
