On Saturday, around 10 p.m., two thieves adopted the relay race technique to steal a wallet in the Carré in Liège. A young man ordered a pita from Elmas, rue du Pot d’Or. He had placed his wallet on the counter as he waited to pay.
Ali, aged 23 and illegally staying in Belgium, then approached and stole the wallet. He then ran away but was chased by two people who caught up with him. Unfortunately, a bit like a relay runner, he had time to pass the “witness wallet” to an accomplice who could not be identified.
