Following a press article relating the remarks of his ex-wife accusing him of domestic violence, the leader of the PTB in the municipal council of Namur, Thierry Warmoes, who had already handed over his mandate as federal deputy last July to find his profession as a biologist and who had, as a result, been replaced at the head of the health commission by Roberto D’Amico, decided to resign from his municipal post “in order to be able to calmly prepare my defense and not wanting in any case to involve my side in this private matter,” he explained in a Facebook post. A complaint had been filed by the ex-wife of Thierry Warmoes in April 2019 and the former federal deputy had been heard in the process. He denies the facts.
