Thiago Almada called up to Argentina’s 2022 World Cup squad

Lionel Scaloni, coach of the Argentine national team, decided today, Friday, to call up Thiago Almada, the American player from Atlanta United, to the squad for the World Cup, which starts tomorrow, Sunday, and continues until December 18 next.

The coach decided to include Almada following excluding Inter Milan striker Joaquin Correa, due to his knee injury.

Argentina is in Group C, which includes Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Poland.
