As they said, the new rule will affect buyers of well-known marketplaces that are leaders in the online trading market. For example, the innovation has already been announced in the Wildberries online store, which accounts for the most sales among Russian online stores.
The company has announced that it will start charging its customers for packages that people choose to pack their purchased items in. The new rule will apply to the situation of visiting the point of issue of orders. Previously, citizens could come for their order and take a package for free, in which they could put the paid products.
Now, however, buyers will no longer have such an opportunity. The cost of one package will vary from 6 to 15 rubles. And the cost of packaging will be deducted from each card, the owner of which wants to take the package with him. The online retailer himself explains this change by concern for the environment, emphasizing that the purchased packages can be reused in the future. Accordingly, people will now have to take the package with them so as not to spend extra money.
A similar rule was previously introduced by the Ozon marketplace. And buyers can add the cost of the package to the order during the checkout of goods, so that later they do nothing at the point of issue.
According to lawyers, such a new rule was expected, and there is no violation of the law in it. At the same time, the rights of buyers are not violated in any way, because the delivery of goods in most cases will still remain free of charge, and everyone can prudently take the means for packaging with them, for example, you can put the purchased goods in a backpack or bag.
