They would not provide numbers. Now it creates disagreement

The figures for how long the people of North Jutland have to wait for emergency help when they call 112 have not only documented that there are big differences in the waiting time in the region.

They have also revealed that there are big differences in what people think about the situation in the Social Democrats.

Morten Klessen and Kirsten Morild Andersen have harshly criticized Region Nordjylland for not wanting to hand over the figures, even though they have been asking for them for years.

The figures were only sent to the politicians when Nordjutske asked for access to the same figures.

Group chairman Mogens Nørgaard does not believe that the figures should be disclosed at all – and certainly not to a journalist.

And now another social democrat joins the debate.

Lis Mancini, who is deputy chairman of the Committee for Local Health Care.

– I disagree with my party colleagues, says the long-standing member of the regional council to North Jutland.

They don’t have the history with them

Lis Mancini has – contrary to her party colleagues in the Committee for Local Health Care – been a member of the regional council in the previous term.

It was here that the decision was made not to calculate response times at the local level. A decision which was voted through led by the Social Democrats.

– So my party colleagues do not have the history with them when they raise the criticism. We have scrapped the statements at postcode level because they did not give a true picture, says Lis Mancini.

Lis Mancini herself voted in favor of the decision, where they instead switched to measuring the response times for the whole of North Jutland as a unified unit.

So far

Lis Mancini herself lives in Øster Hurup, which belongs to postcode 9560 Hadsund.

And according to the experienced social democrat, there is a big difference in how quickly the ambulance arrives, depending on where in 9560 you are.

– In the figures that have been handed out, you can’t see how long we wait for an ambulance in Øster Hurup, so you can’t use that calculation for anything. We still have outlying areas – also within the individual postcodes – where you have to wait a long time for an ambulance, she says.

– That’s how it’s always been, because we can’t afford to send more ambulances out here, and we live with that just fine.

Is there room in the Social Democrats to disagree on this subject?

– That’s how it is, anyway. And otherwise we have to talk things out. But so far it’s going very well, says Lis Mancini.

What are the key factors⁣ influencing ‍the emergency response times in ⁤North Jutland,⁢ according to Lis Mancini?

**Interview with Lis Mancini: A Social Democrat’s Perspective ‌on Emergency Response Times in North Jutland**

**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining⁤ us today, Lis. You’ve recently spoken out regarding the emergency response times⁤ in North‌ Jutland. ‍Can you⁢ share your thoughts on the discrepancies between the waiting times and your party’s current⁣ stance?

**Lis Mancini:** Thank you for having me. Yes, ⁢it’s quite troubling to see such⁢ discrepancies in emergency response times across the region. However, it’s important to‌ clarify that my⁢ colleagues and I have different views on how to approach this issue. While I understand their concerns, I⁣ believe that the⁢ metrics we’ve chosen to measure—by looking at North Jutland as‌ a whole rather than at‍ the postcode level—actually provide⁣ a clearer picture of the situation.

**Interviewer:** You mentioned the decision to change how response times‌ are calculated⁣ was made during your previous term. Can you explain why ⁣this decision was made?

**Lis Mancini:** Absolutely. The decision to stop measuring response times at the postcode level stemmed from the realization that those granular figures did not accurately represent the overall effectiveness of ‍our emergency services. By unifying the measurement⁣ across the entire region, we can better assess the performance and identify broader trends rather than getting‍ lost in local anomalies.

**Interviewer:** There have been criticisms ‍from‌ your party colleagues regarding the lack of disclosure of response ⁣times by Region Nordjylland. What’s your take on their ⁢concerns?

**Lis Mancini:** I understand ‍their frustrations, especially given⁤ the ⁤importance of transparency‍ in these matters. However, ⁢I believe that⁤ we need to consider the context and the reasons behind the ‌decisions made. My colleagues may not fully appreciate the history and rationale that led to our current measuring practices. The criticism should be directed more towards how we ‌can improve our services, rather than solely⁢ focusing ‌on the data availability.

**Interviewer:** Morten Klessen has expressed concern about⁢ trust between the administration and the politicians. How do you view this situation?

**Lis Mancini:** Trust ⁤is crucial⁤ in our ⁣work, and I ⁣share ⁢Morten’s concerns‍ to some extent.⁣ However, we must also recognize⁤ that the administrative⁣ processes involved in ‍collecting and sharing data can be ‌complex. Our task as politicians is to advocate for ⁤transparency, but‍ it’s also ⁢vital to remain focused on how⁢ we can improve response times for the people who ‍rely on these services.

**Interviewer:** What do you believe ⁣is the next step for the regional council in⁣ addressing these issues?

**Lis Mancini:** ‍I think we need to prioritize open dialogue—both within our party ⁢and with the administration. We should work ‌collaboratively to ⁢ensure that all parties have a ⁢clear understanding of⁢ the‍ metrics⁢ we’re using and the results we’re seeing. Additionally, we need to ‍advocate for improved emergency services that prioritize the health‌ and safety of our ‌citizens above all else.

**Interviewer:** Thank ‍you, Lis, for‍ your insights and for shedding light on‍ this important ‍issue in North Jutland.

**Lis Mancini:** Thank you! It’s‍ always a pleasure to discuss these significant matters.
