Activists from the municipality of Gómez Palacio will also march on the occasion of Women’s Day, this Wednesday, March 8 at 12:00 o’clock.
“We are organizing a march, the ones here in Gómez Palacio, because we want Durango and especially in the Judiciary, judges act with a gender perspective” and that justice be prompt and expeditious for womenstressed Yamilet Meraz, who for almost two years has struggled to have her three-year-old son back in her arms.
The starting point that the participants will have will be the parking lot of the shopping center on Miguel Alemán and J. Agustín Castro boulevards, bound for the Palace of Justice in front of the Plaza de Armas of this city. They will start marching sharp at 12:00 noon.
“The call is open to all the women of Gómez Palacio, who want to present their cases, we invite them,” said Meraz.
The young mother of a family denied that there is a division between the women’s collectives, Well, although she commented that they were invited to participate in the march that is organized for the same March 8 in Torreón, said that their causes are not on the side of Coahuila.
“They invited us to Torreón, what happens is that, we have no issue in Coahuila, we want the laws of Durango to change, that the judges act with a gender perspective, so that’s why we decided to do what we do in Gómez Palacio”, said Yamilet, “even if there are two or three”.
