It means an economic contribution for the students of the Interior who study medicine at the UNSa, in the Capital. It cannot be less than 40% of the Minimum Vital and Mobile Salary established by law.
Deputies gave the bill half approval on November 1, while the Senate under review converted it into law on December 1 and this Monday it was promulgated by decree No. 1076.
At the time of its discussion in Deputies, its author, Patricia Hucena, stated that the project “responds to a strategic question because the interior of the province requires professionals.”
The articles of the law contemplate the requirements to access said benefit, among which are being over 18 years of age, being Argentine or having a minimum of four years of immediate residence in the Province of Salta, living at a distance greater than 50 kilometers from the headquarters of the National University of Salta, prove that both the beneficiary and his social group do not have the resources to pay for the degree, in addition to the academic requirements established by the Application Authority.
For their part, whoever must comply with the students will have to set the amount of the scholarships that may not be less than 40% of the Minimum Vital and Mobile Salary and may have increases as they advance in the career; Likewise, to maintain the benefit, the student will be evaluated periodically and the annual renewal will be automatic.
Finally, the law says that the funds will come from the corresponding budget item of the General Budget of the Province, Current Year.
