They will crown a Latina princess at WonderCon 2023 – La Voz de la Frontera

During the 36th edition of WonderCon, an annual convention of comics, science fiction and movies that takes place in Anaheim, California. Kayden Phoenix, will introduce the first Latino superhero team in comic book history and showcase the first Latina princesses.

Kayden, together with her publisher, Phoenix Studios, brings “A La Brava”, a project created and written by Phoenix herself, who has sought to design Latin princesses that empower and strengthen.

Phoenix’s vision is combined with the new wave of Latino artists, such as 2D animator and illustrator who has worked for HBO, Netflix, Discovery Kids and Mattel, Fer Lozada and newcomer Fanny Arteaga.

The protagonists of this new story are: Mexica, an Aztec princess, Alora, the witch princess, Novi, the space princess, Swan, the water princess and Macab, the death princess.

Although it’s only been a year in the making, two of the five origin stories are already out, and you can find them on their website: https://latinaprincesses.com/ .. While the stories of the other princesses are in progress and will come out this 2023.

Kayden Phoenix, is a Mexican-American writer and director, from Los Angeles, who won honors at the Los Angeles Film Awards for her short, “Penance.”
