A witness who was on board the bus line 620 last Monday when the driver Pedro Barrientos was murderedgave an interview to a television channel and recounted how the moments prior to the fatal outcome unfolded. “They were the most horrible 12 seconds,” the woman said anguished.
In a dialogue with the Todo Noticias signal, the witness, identified as 27-year-old Yamila, recounted that at the time they were intercepted by the thieves, she was in the first two-passenger seat on the right side of the driver, along with her 8-year-old daughter. .
From that place, the woman mentioned who was able to observe how everything developed. He recounted that when the thieves got into the unit led by Barrientos, one of them pointed at the driver and the second at herwhile shouting, both asked the passengers to hand over their belongings.
As he mentioned, the murder occurred when the driver leaned back to look for his wallet and hand it over to the assailants. At that moment, the woman specified that one of the thieves shot him in the chest “without saying a word”which instantly killed the driver, who was soon to retire.
During the interview with the program “Just one more lap”, Yamila revealed that “I’m not having a good time”. “They were the most horrible 12 seconds, because that shot might have been for me or for my daughter or for the police officer.”, he insisted.

Although she already gave a statement before the Justice, the woman maintained that feel very afraid to describe criminals for fear of retaliation and because, in case of doing so, “I do not have custody.” «I am totally unprotected“he added.
In her story, the young woman, mother of an 8-year-old girl with a disability, recalled that “I didn’t want to look up” when one of the thieves approached her and pointed a gun at her. “She ripped off my backpack,” she detailed.
