They warn of tropical depression with trajectory to Sinaloa

The Meteorological Service of Conagua and the National Hurricane Center of the United States warned this Wednesday night regarding the formation of Tropical Depression 16-E in the Pacific Ocean that will intensify into a hurricane with a trajectory towards Sinaloa and would be impacting the state next Sunday night.

According to the SMN notice, Tropical Depression “SIXTEEN-E” is located south of the coasts of Colima and Michoacán.

Its circulation reinforces the potential for rains in the west of the country.

This Thursday it would dawn as a tropical storm and on Friday followingnoon it would already be a category 1 hurricane, to head towards Sinaloa and would impact as a tropical storm this Sunday at 6:00 p.m. in the south-central state.

Both meteorological systems also warned of heavy rains in areas of Sinaloa, Baja California Sur, Durango and Nayarit.

They call for extreme precautions to be taken by the population in general in the areas of the states mentioned due to rains and to attend to the recommendations issued by the authorities of the National Civil Protection System, in each entity.
