They warn crafty practice in ISSSTE in delivery of medicine

By Oscar Verdin Camacho

The lack of medicines continues to be a constant in the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), according to rights holders in Tepic.

But in addition to that, they warn of a tricky practice that would make it seem that the medicine is supplied 100 percent.

And it is that, they explain, in a recipe two types of medicines are usually reflected; however, if the pharmacy only has one of them, the beneficiary will have to keep it but will deliver the prescription, without the possibility of returning another day to receive the missing one.

In other words, they deduce, once the prescription enters the pharmacy it would seem that it has been completely filled, when in reality sometimes this is not the case, so the missing medicine must be purchased at private pharmacies.

The previous maneuver might make it seem that the ISSSTE has solved the supply of medicine.

Pharmacy workers abide by instructions to keep the prescription even if it is not 100 percent filled.

For this reason, it is considered that the correct thing would be for the prescription to be marked on the medicine that is delivered, but the beneficiary would be allowed to return for the missing one.
