By José Rojas/Boca del Río, Ver.- Armed men violently assaulted a store belonging to the UNIÓN pharmacy chain in the Jardines de Virginia subdivision, took ten thousand pesos of the profits, controlled medicines and left the manager handcuffed, then they escaped with an unknown trajectory due to the null performance of the forces of order.
The robbery was committed by unknown persons early in the morning, they entered the establishment on Urano road between Campeche and Tampico avenues, posing as customers so as not to arouse the mistrust of the employee.
When they were in front of the cash register, they took out the weapons they were carrying, with threats they forced her to go behind the trading booths, and there they left her tied to her hands and feet with a rope.
The worker did not show resistance due to the fear of being hit by the assailants, there was no one nearby or patrols in the area to provide assistance or prevent the crime, in less than three minutes the robbery was completed.
They fled with the money from the sales, prescription drugs and the victim’s belongings, they quickly disappeared favored by the complete absence of police units, they left no trace of their presence in that place.
Minutes later, notice of the assault was given to operators of the 911 Emergency Line, more than 20 minutes it took the elements of the State Police to arrive, despite the fact that their facilities are on Adolfo Ruiz Cortines boulevard.
They searched for those responsible for the subdivisions on the periphery, when the operation ended there were no positive results once once more, they only notified the personnel in charge of the Central Veracruz Zone Prosecutor’s Office of the event, the residents of the area assure that the assaults are constant.
