Ciudad Mendoza.- The Municipal Library faces the lack of updating in textbooks and consultation for the Medicine area, since being an area in constant progress, it is necessary to renew the bibliographic collection, informed Aníbal Payan, in charge of the Benito Juárez library.
The Faculty of Medicine of the Universidad Veracruzana is located in this municipality, which is why books on this area of study are more requested, and it is important that the copies also meet the study needs of the students of the Faculty. of Medicine.
For their part, the students indicated that the Faculty has copies and articles that allow them to keep up to date with advances in medicine and strengthen their knowledge, although it is often necessary to invest economic resources to access the information.
Given the high costs involved in accommodation, transportation, food expenses and others, it is necessary that they have access to books and other publications that allow them to enrich their knowledge without having to spend more.
Now that face-to-face activities have been resumed little by little in schools, students constantly turn to the library mainly to make use of the free internet service to continue their education.
Therefore, it is urgent that the municipal authorities modernize the bibliographic collection of the Benito Juárez library.
