Cuban Tourism Authorities reported updating the validity period of the mandatory document to be delivered at airports upon entry to Cuba. If before it was 48 hours before, until when did they extend it?
The update of the mandatory entry document to Cuba refers to the D’Viajeros platform, an online portal implemented by the Cuban government for visitors to register before their arrival in the country.
Previously, travelers had to enter their personal data and their electronic visa number within 48 hours prior to their arrival in Cuba, now the time has been extended to favor visitors to the island in the midst of the tourism crisis.
According to official information, since last October 1, 2024, this period extended to seven daysgiving tourists more time and flexibility to complete and submit their information before traveling.
D’Viajeros: the mandatory document for your entry to Cuba
The Cuban Ministry of Tourism thus announced on its social networks about the new measure, confirming it: «The D’Viajeros platform is now available! Now you can complete it up to 7 days before your travel date to Cuba. Don’t waste time and ensure a hassle-free entry.
Since January 2023, all travelers entering Cuba must present the D’Viajeros digital form at airports, which collects immigration, health and customs information.
The D’Viajeros process seeks to improve the experience of passengers during their transit through the island, since it provides advance information that allows speeding up procedures at the different entry points, according to officials.
As we already remember, it is “mandatory for each passenger” to truthfully complete the information from the Directorate of Identification, Immigration and Immigration, the General Customs of the Republic and the Ministry of Public Health.
