A colorful and luminous light show will remain in the iconic city space until the beginning of January 2025

A large group of citizens gathered yesterday in the emblematic Plaza Bolívar in Maracay, to witness the traditional lighting of lights, with which they opened the doors to the December season in the Aragüeña entity.

The event, which began a few minutes late due to rain, was led by the governor of the state of Aragua, Karina Carpio, along with other authorities in the region.

In her words, the regional president highlighted “the high level of spirituality of all Aragüeños.” She was surprised by the number of people who gathered “at this emotional event.”

He reported that the Christmas holidays in the state of Aragua will be for three months, with live music, parties and the participation of regional musical groups.

He reported on the special participation of the cultists of the Great Mission, “Venezuela, my beloved mother”, who will have a fundamental role in the organized activities.

He thanked the institutions that made these festivities a reality for the people of Aragüeños. “There were long nights, hours of work to be able to see this dream come true, my congratulations to the people who demonstrated their behavior in a civic manner, full of harmony, peace and a lot of joy. “I think it is worthy of applause, these holidays are for them,” said the highest authority.

REHABILITATION OF SPACES

As an important point, the regional leader highlighted that most of the works arranged in the plaza were carried out by Cincatesa, among which the “Tunnel of Dreams” which has a 20-meter-long route, which will captivate citizens as it transmits the essence and Christmas spirit. He also said that some parts of the floor were rehabilitated, as well as the gazebos.

“We are seeing the result and the product of long nights of work to beautify and embellish this square, I was amazed by the participation of distant municipalities.”

He extended a call to the population to contribute to the care and preservation of these spaces. “The square belongs to everyone, we have to take care of it to be able to maintain this atmosphere for three months, just as we are seeing it right now, so that at the end of the day we can also have this beautiful square, as we are delivering it today.”
