Montreal police are looking for a couple who allegedly tried to buy $100,000 worth of jewelry using a stolen credit card shortly before, at a residence in the borough of Notre-Dame-de-Grâce .
The problem is that the man and the woman were filmed in high resolution by one of the surveillance cameras installed on the residence they looted.
The Montreal police have also released a very clear video where we can see the two suspects in action.
The crime they are accused of was committed on the night of November 5, around 2 a.m.
The two suspects entered a residence in the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district in order to steal several valuables, including a credit card. The amount of the theft “exceeds $5,000,” the SPVM said in a statement.
The man and woman then allegedly used the same stolen credit card to attempt to fraudulently purchase jewelry from the online store of a luxury jewelry store in downtown Montreal.
The fraud attempt is close to $100,000, according to authorities.
The first individual sought is a white man of regarding 25 years old. At the time of the break-in and theft, he was wearing a blue protective mask, a black Jordan coat, a white hoodie, black pants, blue and white Jordan sandals, and white socks.
The woman sought, a white woman, would also be around 25 years old. She wore a protective mask over her face and she was dressed in a black felt coat, blue jeans with holes and red shoes.
