“When you want you can” is certainly the leitmotif of two friends who embarked on a somewhat crazy bet. Real estate specialists, they bought a castle in Fontenay-sur-Vègre in Sarthe thanks to a crowdfunding campaign.

It has been overlooking the Vègre Valley for 800 years. Here is the Manoir du Logis.

And since the end of December, Martin and Jéinvestors, an investor, have held the keys to the kingdom.

“We left, Jérémy and I by TGV, after the first visit, tell Martin Menez, co-owner of Manoir du Logis, We didn’t speak for 20 minutes before saying: that’s it, we (have) found the rare pearl.”

After 18 properties that we had visited, this one really blew us away.

A colossal challenge and an acquisition that is out of the ordinary. To acquire this property, Jérémy and Martin are relying on crowdfunding, in other words a donation campaign.

In 3 days, they obtained 690,000 euros, enough to afford this beautiful jewel for Christmas.
A purchase that makes you dream and gives you lots of ideas. Starting with the renovation of this cellar into a reception room.

“We arrive, there is a sort of vaulted arch, it’s already almost mystical, explains Martin Menez, co-owner of Manoir du Logis, and there the light comes on, and we have 180 m² of cellar in front of us, grandiose with, at the end, this mysterious corridor. Afterwards, we open a door and, to our amazement, we actually find ourselves in the kitchens of the castle. That’s really the icing on the cake.”

A project that could see the light of day by this summer. Others will take longer.
