Asunción, IP Agency.- Some 78 organizations, including Micro, small and medium-sized businesses and family farmers, were part of the fourteenth edition of the Business Round in the first department of the country, with a balance of G. 4,851 million in business intentions realized in around 100 minutes of meetings.

The Round is organized by the Ministries of Industry and Commerce, Social Development and Agriculture and Livestock, within the framework of the Zero Hunger in Schools Program, promoted by the Government of Paraguay, promoting compliance with the 5% purchase rate for micro and small businesses. and medium-sized companies and 10% to family farming of the contracts with the awarded companies.

The Vice Ministry of MSMEs indicated that of the total participants, 44% were MSMEs, while 56% were agricultural producers.

In this fourteenth edition of the fair, the most notable products were fruit and vegetable products, one of the most marketed, followed by dairy products, dehydrated fruits, bakery and confectionery, frozen products and freight services, among others.

Within the Wheels, a formalization day is also held, with the support of the company Paracel and the Association of Entrepreneurs of Paraguay (Asepy), which consists of technical advice from different State institutions and the private sector, where MSMEs, entrepreneurs and Companies receive support in their process of formalization and business growth.

Transparency

These agreements and business intentions will be controlled through the presentation of monthly purchase reports by the awarded companies and the uploading of invoices generated by MSMEs and Family Farming, from which they have acquired goods and services.

In addition, these reports will be reported in the Contract Monitoring module on the Web of the National Directorate of Public Procurement, with the objective of verifying correct compliance with the mandatory purchase percentages and ensuring transparency in the execution of the Zero Hunger program. reports the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
