The incident occurred this morning in the city of Guaymallén.
A 5-year-old boy was shot to death. this Sunday morning, following two men shot at the house where he lived.
The boy was sitting in the doorway of his house when the two assailants started shooting. The incident took place in Barrio Pedro Molina 4, in the Mendoza city of Guaymallen. researchers they suspect that it is a revenge personl.
Police sources reported that two men who were passing by began to shoot at the front of a house, and that one of the bullets hit the little boy in the chest and the attackers escaped.
Shortly following, the Mendoza Police arrested one of the alleged murderers while moving aboard a red Ford Eco Sport van.
Police spokesmen indicated that it is a 23-year-old man nicknamed “El Champol” and would have been identified by the father of the murdered child.
After the shooting, the little boy was transferred to the ward of the Humberto Notti Hospital in Guaymallén, where he was examined by the doctor on duty, who confirmed the death by “a gunshot wound to the chest at the level of the heart with an entry hole.”
Investigators suspect that it may have been a personal revenge once morest the child’s father in the context of a plot of infidelity or a love relationship: the ex-partner of the detainee would be in a relationship with the father of the murdered child
The case is being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office specializing in Homicide issues in Mendoza.
