They seek to “green” the Costanera Sur with a community tree planting project

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The National Youth Secretariat, in collaboration with various state institutions and the private sector, will launch this Sunday the project “Greening the South Coast”, an ambitious initiative that will mark the beginning of Youth Month and the arrival of spring with a community tree planting event.

Verdear is an innovative project designed to beautify and revitalize urban areas by planting native trees.

This event is part of a series of tree planting days that will bring together more than 1,000 SNJ volunteers committed to preserving the environment and providing community support through this type of action.

The program will start on Sunday, September 1, at 10:00 a.m., on the Costanera Sur, specifically between the third and fourth roundabouts, along 700 meters.

During this day, 1,000 native trees will be planted along the indicated section, in rows of two with an interval of two meters between each one.

These trees will not only help mitigate the intense heat of the city, but will also provide a revitalizing green space for the community.

The National Youth Secretariat invites all young people to join as volunteers.

The first 200 participants will receive an exclusive VERDEAR t-shirt, and all participants will receive a certificate in recognition of their social responsibility.

Those interested can register through the registration form registration form.

The VERDEAR project is the first in a series of nationwide initiatives that seek to increase environmental awareness and foster commitment to caring for the environment.

“Our goal is to expand this effort to other departments of the country and continue contributing to the well-being of our environment,” says the Youth Secretariat.
