At first he had not been identified, but later it was learned that the corpse was that of Nicholas Alberto Zapata Munoz66 years old.

With the discovery, recorded at 6:20 am last Monday, a search that began on the night of January 6 ended, when he was last seen in the central area of ​​Copacabana, accompanied by two womenwho, as visualized, would be ordering him where to go, without him putting up much resistance.

That was the last record that was had of this man, at 9:34 p.m., near a gas station at the main entrance to the municipality. It is unknown if he would previously be found chatting in a commercial establishment in the area.

When his relatives reported his disappearance, they indicated that he had left his home in the El Pedrero neighborhood of Copacabana, and following that had not communicated with them. With the passing of the hours he increased his concern because he did not show signs of life.

The following Monday, following no one knew what had happened to Nicolás Alberto, his relatives reported of his disappearance at the Prosecutor’s Office, an entity that later published the corresponding poster to announce his search, although the results were not satisfactory.

The silence regarding what happened to this man lasted until Monday, when one of the hydroelectric plant operators, with one of his mechanical arms, removed quantities of garbage from the river. Among the waste was the corpse, in an advanced state of decomposition.

EL COLOMBIANO contacted the relatives, who stated that awaiting the progress of the investigation to clarify what happened, while criticizing the leaking of the videos of the last moments in which traces of his whereregardings were found.

The faces of the women have already been broadcast on social networks and these they are already wanted to find out the circumstances in which the death of Nicolás Alberto occurred and why his body ended up in the Medellín River. Likewise, in Legal Medicine, forensic work is advancing to establish whether this man was murdered or died due to natural circumstances.
