They rule out that FGR and SFP inquire regarding gray house
The majority of Morena and its allies in the plenary session of the Senate of the Republic rejected a point of agreement so that the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and the Ministry of Public Administration (SFP) investigate the contracts between Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) and the Baker Hughes company, as well as an alleged conflict of interest between members of the family of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
But not everything was easy for the majority group. In the midst of the heated debate that had to be placated with a pause of several hours in yesterday’s session, PAN legislators showed a model of the so-called gray house, alluding to the property in Houston, Texas, where the family of the eldest son of the President.
It was the chronicle of a debate deferred for almost three weeks.
The PAN members accused the Morenoites of refusing to discuss the issue in the stands and to put pressure on them, they brought an identical polycarbonate house to the site, even with trees and a pool, which José Ramón López Beltrán and his family lived in.
Kenya López, from the PAN, demanded to debate on the platform while senators from Morena took the model of the gray house out of the enclosure, all in the middle of a pilgrimage full of insults.
After resuming the session, Morena’s coordinator, Ricardo Monreal, one of the first to take the podium, assured that this party does not shy away from debate and defended the integrity of the López Obrador government: “We have nothing to hide. We have the President (…), the best in the recent history of the country”, despite the media noise caused by conservative sectors.
