A car, which works as a remis, was involved in a road accident during siesta hours on Monday in the middle of the rain. The event was recorded this Monday during the siesta on National Route 118, near one of the entrances to the town of Itá Ibaté in Corrientes.
In the vehicle, in addition to the taxi driver, a child and an elderly blind woman were traveling who were heading towards the city of San Miguel and who came from the capital of Corrientes where they came to perform a dialysis treatment.
Both the child and the woman had to be transferred to the San Miguel hospital to receive the corresponding medical assistance. The director of that health center, Dr. Ricardo Meneses, commented to the Radio Dos newsroom that both patients are in good health and that they did not result in any injuries.
The aforementioned professional also indicated that where the accident occurred is a place where a lot of water accumulates on days of intense rainfall.
Meanwhile, the vehicle might be rescued before submerging in a water channel thanks to the intervention of volunteer firefighters.
