They rescue Venezuelans who were forced to prostitute themselves in Spain

The investigations continue, since they estimate that there are more victims.

Spanish security forces have arrested three Latin Americans and have released five women from Venezuela and Colombia who were victims of sexual exploitation in Madrid.

The investigation began almost a year ago. The detainees are two men and a woman, the victims are all under 25 years of age and were traveling to Spain deceived, officials of the Civil Guard reported this Friday at a press conference in Cáceres.

The investigation remains open to free more victims, estimated at around 30 women controlled by this organization, in a serious state of vulnerability, who were invited to carry out legal activities in Spain, as domestic workers or care for the elderly.

However, they were forced into prostitution when they arrived and threatened to harm their relatives in their countries if they refused.

One of them, an 18-year-old Colombian, requested help from an NGO specialized in supporting victims of trafficking in the province of Cáceres, where this girl took refuge following fleeing Madrid.

The women supposedly lived in Madrid in “subhuman conditions”, without a passport, in a “slavery regime”, with cameras and microphones recording them “24 hours a day”.

According to the agents, the detainees laundered the profits with a dataphone from a hospitality business and transferred money to countries such as Argentina, Colombia and Venezuela.

Some 300 packages of cocaine, cell phones and cash were seized in the operation; 12 bank accounts were blocked.

The detainees are suspected of the crimes of human trafficking, belonging to a criminal group, money laundering and drug trafficking.
