Due to the experience left by last winter’s health crisis resulting from respiratory infections, including covid-19, influenza, flu and, especially, the syncytial virus, the Chamber of the Chamber approved two resolutions. These seek to anticipate the situation that might arise this year, with the expected increase in these pathologies.
The first of them (resolution 880), supported by 104 votes in favor, 12 once morest and 11 abstentions, requests the President of the Republic to take the necessary measures to convert beds in hospitals in the public system, in order to increase availability. of critical ICU beds.
The idea is to have an increase in the number of health personnel accredited to manage pediatric ICU beds, as well as adults.
In addition, the text calls for instructing the generation of an integrated public-private network that forces private clinics, in the event of a health crisis due to winter illnesses, to increase the provision of critical ICU beds by at least 100%.
Added to this is the fact that the transfer from the public to the private system is instructed, when the former does not have hospital capacity, without implying a greater cost for people.

It requests the President of the Republic to design a communication plan for the population on access to health services.
Added to this is the sending to the Chamber, by the Executive, of the decrees transferring extraordinary funds, to take charge of the winter campaign.
The need to generate a vaccination campaign for the coming years that reaches 80% of the at-risk population is also emphasized.
The above, considering that vaccination is one of the most effective tools to prevent diseases and protect the health of the population.
This campaign must be supported by a comprehensive communication and dissemination strategy, which clearly and precisely informs regarding the importance of vaccination, the benefits it offers and the procedures to access it.
