This Wednesday, the municipality of Cipolletti began to replace the sodium luminaire with these white light fixtures on the German. The work will end at the intersection with the United Nations in this first stage.

From the municipality they described that this project will be a new attraction and a benefit for the participants of the 37th edition of the Corrida Ciudad de Cipolletti.

How is the led replacement project
The work is in charge of the secretariat of public works, within the general project of “Conversion of public lighting to LED in trunk streets”. has an investment of $224.320.000,00 involving the two new works by Illia and Espinosa.
As they explained, the project has three objectives, «generate greater security from the increase in the level of illumination, reduce electricity consumption thanks to the higher efficiency of LED lighting (120lm/W compared to 100lm/W for sodium vapor) and finally, provide identity and different hierarchies to the streets of the city proposing luminaires with different luminous flux”, they detailed.
The replacement of luminaires results in a 15% less electricity consumption and implies 150% more LED luminaires in the city.
