In the last hours, a video was released on social networks that shows female care personnel COVID-19 resting on the ground, in the Villa Mongrut of EsSalud, generating a wave of criticism from users. In the 24-second clip, health personnel are seen agglomerated and resting on mattresses placed on the floor, following an apparent culmination of the day.
However, the CEO of EsSaludMario Carhuapoma pointed out that it was all a matter of confusion. The official indicated that, although there are things to correct in the institution, the images corresponded to something else.
“It is not a complaint, but a worker shared a meeting on her social network following a job on December 23rd. According to the inquiries with the manager of the Sabogal Network, Dr. Miguel Siccha, he tells me that it was part of some activities they had carried out and then they wanted to rest”Carhuapoma explained.
He added that the health personnel saw “somehow (rest on the floor) a comfort and settle down”. “They had taken a photo or video and posted it. Let’s avoid bad perceptions, however, there are many things that we must overcome because the attendance of many patients has also made it impossible to have more space for our workers”, Specified Carhuapoma.
