In her presentation, the legislator emphasized that at the beginning of this year, the National Water Commission (Conagua) reported that all the municipalities of Hidalgo registered some level of drought, ranging from “normally dry” to a complete absence of water. rated as “exceptional”.

Therefore, he emphasized that the scarcity of water in vulnerable areas due to the depletion of aquifers or the difficulty of accessing quality water makes it necessary to implement alternatives to obtain it and asserted that the most common, economical and easily accessible is rainwater harvesting.

And he pointed out that this is a supply option, which takes advantage of the already existing infrastructure of the homes to collect rainwater on the roofs and convey it to be stored and used during the dry season.
