Asunción, IP Agency.- Institutions of the central government, through the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of the Interior, the National Police, with the Municipality of Asunción, promote the project to address the problem of car attendants and their insertion into the formal labor market.
To this end, this Friday the Minister of Labor, Mónica Recalde, and the municipal mayor of Asunción, Oscar Rodríguez, made the signing of an alliance official at the capital’s communal headquarters.
Recalde referred to the need to develop a macroeconomic policy that offers agile and effective labor solutions for these people. This policy will include the creation of an Employment Exchange for the sector and the promotion of the Emplea Py platform.
It comprises, in addition, continuous training programs through the National Professional Promotion Service (SNPP) and Sinafocal, ensuring that car attendants can reintegrate into working life in a dignified and productive manner.
“Job integration and retention in educational programs are fundamental pillars of our strategy to guarantee a more promising future for everyone,” said Recalde.
Training and job offers
Recalde highlighted that car guards will be able to be trained and will access jobs offered through a job bank.
“The alliance that is made on this occasion will make these people who are already registered, registered and identified by area, have the possibility of being part of our employment pool “Emplea Py”, he remarked.
He maintained that it cannot be ignored that “they need another type of support that has to do with work tools and that is training and training, and for that, we have José Cogliolo, director of the SNPP to set up training centers in the towns where “They are living,” said the head of the Ministry of Labor.
Institutions will provide different approaches
He said that the institutions involved will provide different approaches regarding security, social inclusion and order in the city.
“For every problem there is an approach. Surely the vice minister representing the Ministry of the Interior will explain the security aspects related to the social aspect. We take care of it from the point of view of the person and the labor inclusion of him and the Municipal Administration, from the aspect of the order of the city,” he added.
Recalde also reported that “these components are very important to solve this problem. We talked with the mayor that this type of project cannot be done in a generalized way, but rather focused and we are going to focus on the historical case of the city,” he said.
Guarantees for citizens
He maintained that the development includes guarantees for citizens who want to enjoy public spaces and a job alternative for car attendants.
“There is a very important development there and every Saturday we have the Palmear Fair with a lot of people. And we have to provide guarantees both for people who want to enjoy public spaces and also give these people a job alternative,” said the Minister of Labor.
Training and job opportunity for car attendants
In turn, the municipal mayor of Asunción, Oscar Rodríguez, highlighted that through the project promoted in alliance with central government institutions, the possibility of giving a job opportunity to car attendants and providing security to citizens is foreseen.
“Through this project we are talking regarding the possibility of eliminating the car caretaker’s activity and, in return, giving him job opportunities, establishing trainings, job vacancies and with the accompaniment of the National Police, the Interior Ministry and the Deputy Security Ministry, providing security to all citizens of Asuncion and non-Asuncion,” he said.
More than three hundred registered
He confirmed that approximately 350 people who carry out the activity are registered.
“We want to start zone control. Managing the number of those registered today we have approximately 350 people carrying out this activity that is not allowed on the streets, with some different inconveniences and that is where we face the work with different institutions,” indicated the capital’s communal chief.
