The Academic Ceremony of Opening of the Postgraduate Career Specialization in General and Family Medicine was held at the Superior School of Medicine of the National University of Mar del Plata.
The event was presided over by the UNMDP Rector, Alfredo Lazzeretti, the ESM UNMDP Director Dr. Adrián Alasino, the ESM UNMDP Deputy Director, Dr. Gabriel Angelini and was attended by UNMDP authorities and the presence of special guests: Dr. Cintia L’hopital , Director of Training and Permanent Education of the School of Government in Health “Floreal Ferrara”, Dr. Valeria Bulla, Director of the Postgraduate Career General and Family Medicine of the Faculty of Medical Sciences UNR, Mg. Graciela López Gallardo, Honorary President of the Argentine Federation of General Medicine (FAMG), Dr. Rafael Passarini, Director of the postgraduate course “Specialization in General and Family Medicine”, as well as MGP health authorities and representatives of hospitals and clinics of the city.
In the welcoming remarks, the Rector of the National University of Mar del Plata, Alfredo Lazzeretti, expressed: “It is very important to be able to count on this postgraduate alternative in the School of Medicine, which I have no doubts is the first and will not be the last because other academic offers will continue to be added. At the University we are convinced of the paradigm of continuous training, we have to permanently educate ourselves, we have to feed ourselves with professional practice and get back together once more, there are scientific and technological advances that require us to be training and educating ourselves.”
For his part, the Director of the UNMDP School of Medicine, Dr. Adrián Alasino, summarized: “We are very happy and proud of this new step for our School, in the country there are 3 Faculties that have this specialization, Rosario, Córdoba and Mar del Plata is the third. This project of the General and Family Medicine Career commits us to continue working together for public education and decent, fair and supportive health.”
