While the controversy over the Venezuelan plane immobilized in Ezeiza (Argentina) continues, in which five Iranians were traveling with a flight manifest that had irregularities, representatives of Together for Change took the case to court to investigate the crew . Meanwhile, the Judiciary must also resolve for a habeas corpus of the lawyer Rafael Resnick Brenner so that the aircraft is released.

“Together with deputy Ricardo López Murphy, we have already filed the complaint before federal judge Federico Villenas so that the heads of all the agencies involved are investigated and the fingerprint data of the ‘crew’ involved in the case of the Iranian-Venezuelan plane is obtained,” advanced the opposition national deputy Gerardo Milman.

The presentation was made with the sponsorship of the lawyers María Eugenia Talerico and Yamil Santoro, with the intention of investigating the identity and background of those who were on that flight.

The Pro representative who answers to Patricia Bullrich, and who during the macrista administration was Secretary of Internal Security, had already made other complaints regarding this plane. “We ask the Government to provide clear information on the anomalous behavior of the aircraft that flew over our territory with the transponder turned off. Was it an official or private flight? Why didn’t he want to be located? We have a Venezuelan plane, of Iranian origin and with an arrest warrant from the United States in our country. This is very serious,” the legislator complained on Twitter.

It all started when the plane in which these five citizens of Iran were traveling along with 14 Venezuelans landed at Ezeiza Airport with parts for a car factory and were approached by the authorities due to a paper problem: there were seven names of Iranians on the crew statement, but only five on board.

But it wasn’t just that. Local investigators received information indicating that these people might have links with the Quds force, a group classified as terrorist by the United States and whose head from 1994 has an international search and arrest warrant for the attack on the AMIA in Argentina.

In addition, this plane, which has been operating since January for Emtrasur Cargo -the cargo division of the Venezuelan firm Conviasa-, was actually used for the last 15 years by the Iranian company Mahan Air, sanctioned by the United States since they consider that that airline is a logistics arm of Quds.

Now the companies do not want to provide fuel so that it can reach Caracas because they intend to avoid penalties for supplying that firm.

Meanwhile, the habeas corpus in favor of the crew members was presented by Resnick Brenner before the federal court of Lomas de Zamora, in charge of Federico Villena. In that document, the lawyer requests that the urgent fuel load be ordered and that the aircraft be returned. The lawyer also stated that there is an “illegitimate impact on the freedom” of those who arrived on that plane, who can now only leave the country with a regular flight..
