Asunción, IP Agency.- In the first week of work to repair Mariscal López Avenue, patching was carried out in critical points and alternative streets were prepared to be used when the interventions begin.
The alternative streets repaired correspond to 3 de Febrero and Nicasio Villalba, near the intersection between Mariscal López and Santa Teresa, reported the Ministry of Public Works.
At this time, patching works are being carried out in critical areas, so half the road of the avenue is enabled in some of its points.
However, there are hydraulic works that are scheduled to begin in January due to the lower influx of traffic. These works will be carried out in the area of the National University of Asunción, at the intersection with Santa Teresa, in front of the Stock Supermarket and at the intersections of Luis Alberto del Paraná and Cerro Porteño streets.
In total, the project contemplates improving 6.3 km of the busy avenue, as well as the parallel streets that will be used as detours, within a period of 12 months plus 18 months of maintenance.
The works are in charge of Tecnoedil SA Constructora for G. 54,087,089,570.
