Asuncion, IP Agency.- A 19-year-old young man was benefited with a surgical procedure consisting of a dental restoration that will allow him to improve his quality of life. The surgery under general anesthesia was performed this Monday at the General Hospital of Santa Rosa del Aguaray of the Second Health Region on a patient with TEA syndrome (Autism Spectrum Disorder), with hearing and phonetic deficits.
The procedure included multiple tooth extractions and restorations and supplies provided by the Oral Health Department of the Ministry of Public Health were used.
This dentistry and anesthesia service is a pioneer in the department in the care of patients with deficits, this user being the seventh to be treated so far this year, the health department reported.
The professionals in charge of the surgery were the specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery and traumatology, Dr. Julio Fariña, the dentist, Dr. Félix Rodi and the anesthesiologist, Lic. Porfirio Aguilar.
With this type of intervention, the Santa Rosa del Aguaray General Hospital shows its commitment to the oral health of the population.
