They murdered a farmer to steal his shoes and food

The sister of the deceased commented that everything points to a robbery, because when he saw it he did not have the shoes he had just bought, nor the bag of food that his mother had given him, nor the cell phone.

A 30-year-old farmer was murdered in San Casimiro in the south of Aragua state, for allegedly stealing his shoes, a bag of food and his cell phone.

The citizen, identified as Juan Carlos Piñango Hernández, was the target of three bullet wounds following being intercepted by some antisocials.

The incident occurred around 8:00 pm, when the victim was returning home following visiting his mother.

It was learned that Piñango did not have land in his name, but he works planting food such as corn, bananas, cassava, and beans, which he used to feed his two young children and marketed.

“He reached the third year of basic education and did not finish high school because he went to work,” said Catherine Zolanye, sister of the deceased.

He claimed not to know what really happened to Juan Carlos, specifying that some acquaintances told them in the morning that his brother’s body was lying on the pavement, alleging that “no one heard or saw anything.”

Catherine commented that everything points to a robbery, because when she saw it she did not have the shoes that she had just bought, nor the bag of food that her mother had given her, nor the cell phone.

He stressed that Piñango was a very calm man, who was not involved in problems, much less with criminals, so ruling out that it was revenge or settling scores.

Officials from the Scientific, Penal and Criminal Investigations Corps (Cicpc), carried out the removal of the body and began the investigation of the case. They do not rule out any hypothesis, although the robbery has greater weight.
