The Fundación Nuestra Tierra and the residents of Caripito in the state of Monagas, made this Sunday the Guinness Record attempt of the “Longest line of chocolate bars in the world”, within the framework of the organization’s tenth anniversary.

In this way they seek to establish this record, which would be the first to be achieved in Monaguense territory. The formation of the bar began at the beginning of New Jerusalem Avenue until it reached the Plaza de la Fe, the portal reviewed. The Monagas Truth.

At 6:00 am this important activity began, with the participation of more than 600 people, who were responsible for placing each chocolate bar.

The line they managed to make measured 854.3 meters, and was made up of 4,289 chocolate bars, which represents approximately 850 kilograms of this product.

“Happy to have concluded all the demands of Guinness, we are now going to wait for the verdict. We are very happy for these 10 years of work for the cocoa and chocolate sector in our country,” said Leudys González, president of the foundation.

The bars were made with the “chocopito” product, which is a pure chocolate made in Caripito and was made by chocolatiers who are studying at the school in this town.

The working group had three months to make the bars, to label them, and to train the participants.

Several of these bars will be donated to some institutions in the municipality and the rest will be for sale.

The Fundación Nuestra Tierra has up to now three Guinness Records. One conquered it by creating the “World’s Largest” chocolate coin, weighing 874.5 kilograms, where 100 chocolatiers worked for more than 12 hours, melting and tempering the chocolate by hand.

Another record was for the “World’s Largest Chocolate Tasting”, where 419 people tasted three types of chocolate from different artisanal brands in the country.

While the other, they got it for “The largest chocolate mosaic” and now they hope to get the record for the longest line of chocolate bars.
