For the second year in a row, the Christmas lighting was carried out on Paseo Caroní, on behalf of the Mayor’s Office of Caroní.
Through social networks, the mayor of Caroní, Tito Oviedo, was satisfied with this new place for the “enjoyment of the family.”
“The magic of Christmas came to Paseo Caroní, where with great joy and enthusiasm we made our lighting for the second consecutive year. This is the Guayana City to Live, the one we built with you, ”he wrote on his social networks.
The Guayana Integrated Choir sang at the event, which was also attended by the governor of Bolívar state, Ángel Marcano, and the first lady Yajaira Arocha de Marcano.

“We are happy to see our people here sharing, creating spaces for the family, despite the complex, difficult situation that is being experienced, we have been making progress in the recovery and promotion of spaces like this,” said the governor. Angel Marcano.
Oviedo also highlighted the dedication of the workers of the Caroní Mayor’s Office in the elaboration and installation of all the exhibited figures, especially new attractions that refer to the native fauna of the region.
He urged to care for and defend each of the advances that are making the Guayana City to Live possible.
“So that our people can enjoy it, but above all so that we have more and more the notion that we are a single, big, enormous city, with many sectors. We are a single city with a heart of hard-working people, it is our Guayana City that we want to make more beautiful for good living ”, he added.
The angelic interpretation of the Uneg Integrated Choir, the casinos that have taken over the squares of Ciudad Guayana in anticipation of the great dancer of Salsa Casino to qualify for the Guinness Record, as well as the December music of the cevegistas, enlivened the evening .
Integral rehabilitation
In addition to the nativity scene and large figures full of lights and color, a full recovery of Plaza Venezuela Bella and Paseo Caroní avenue was carried out, as part of the comprehensive rehabilitation plan carried out in joint work by the Government of the Bolívar State and the Mayor’s Office of caroni.
Painting, decoration, scarification of asphalt layers and resurfacing, were also tasks carried out by Obras Guayana and Asfaltos Bolívar.
