This Thursday, the producers Cosquín Rock and Musical Territory announced the launch of the “Duel of festivals”. The press release announces that “it is an unprecedented musical challenge between the two most popular Spanish-speaking rock festivals in the world, with bands and artists who regularly take to the stages of these massive events and that will take place from itinerant way and with different posters”.
On the grid, the festival announces great Argentine and Spanish bands, such as Ska-P, Las Pelotas, Soziedad Alkoholika, Catupecu Machu, Mafalda and Tribade.
The La Farga venue in Hospitalet de Llobregat will host next Saturday, May 6, starting at 3:30 p.m., the first edition of the Duel of Rock Festivals between Viña and Cosquín, which over the next few months will celebrate new dates all over the planet, in iconic cities like Santiago de Chile, London, Buenos Aires, Miami, Berlin and New York.
The producer of Cosquín Rock, José Palazzo, commented on his social networks regarding the emergence of the proposal: “The founder of Viña Rock in Spain, proposed us to do Viña versus Cosquín. In a humor that seemed hilarious to us, we doubted it a bit, but then the idea began to grow and we decided to go on tour, ”Palazzo said on his Instagram.
“Where they invite us, we will surely go. A great idea came to life and in May the world tour of Viña vs. Cosquín began. A historical and unprecedented event”, asserted the producer.
