The educational community of the Technical Education Center 35 launched a solidarity campaign with the aim of building two classrooms from high school in El Manso.

It happens that at the end of October, the then Minister of Education of Río Negro, Pablo Nuñez, participated in the opening of offers corresponding to the tender for the construction of the first stage of the school.

«In his first press conference, the Minister of Economy Luis Caputo said that tenders that had not started were withdrawn. In this way, we were left without both classrooms«explained Magdalena Bibiloni, mother of a third-year student.

Today the 60 students of CET 35, distributed across four courses, do not have their own building. Classes are taught in a classroom at school 213, in a virtual CEM classroom and in a mobile classroom. This year, another 20 students are scheduled to enroll and classes start in February.

«This year we had started to raise money to go towards a trip for the kids. But it didn’t happen, so when faced with the news that the school will continue without its own building, We decided to use the money to buy bricks“, said Bibiloni.

That amount of money was deposited in the Comarca Andina corralón of El Bolsón, where an account was opened in the name of CET 35. The idea is that those who can, donate the value of a brick in order to obtain the materials to start building the secondary school on the grounds of home school 213.

«The idea – Bibiloni pointed out – is to bring everyone together little by little. We parents are skilled at building. We have all built our houses. What we did was ask the state to authorize the plans«.

When the new secondary school emerged, the same community requested that the modality be agrotechnics. «The focus is on food sovereignty. The kids are taught that with the land they have they can live and add value to it. On the property there are now three greenhouses, chickens, pigs, rabbits, fine fruit, beehives and next year they will start working with sheep. It levels up the educational level of El Manso,” said the woman.

He mentioned that years ago, primary school graduates had to travel to El Bolsón to study or enroll in the “virtual CEM, which has a very low level. “CET 35, without a doubt, is an outstanding academic offer.”
