While “Desouki” and his brother “Islam” were waiting to receive two happy occasions, the first was the birth of the first wife, who bore two “twin children”; The second is the “Islam” marriage, but things went once morest what they wanted, the two brothers were killed in a bloody battle with 3 others due to differences between them over sums of money.

“Masrawy” obtained a text of investigations in Case No. 6297 of 2022 Felonies of Al-Munira Al-Gharbiyye and restricted to No. 1825 of 2022 in North Giza, in which the accused is an employee of the Consumer Protection Association, a pickle dealer and a student; (Desouki and Islam) killed two brothers with knives following a quarrel between them in the street due to a dispute over sums of money between them.

We publish the text of the investigation with the third accused in the incident, “Sameh”, and his confessions are as follows:

Q: What are the details of your confessions?

A: What happened is that on March 27, 2022, at 9:00 pm, one of our neighbors in the area had an Aqeeqah, and the whole area was bent on this Aqeeqah. At that time, I was standing in the pickle shop of my brother “Yasser”, and at that time he came and said if I saw “desouki” My contagion from before you knew me, and at that time he had a knife in a stand-by, because there were previous disputes between us and the two who died.. And in fact, I saw “Desouki” contagious in front of me. The third) At the time, “Hassan” said, “Don’t be afraid that nothing will happen, and I will take him down now to talk to him, and then a little while later, I sat in the shop and went to my house to change the boots I was wearing and met Hassan.”

On the way, he came to greet the people in the Aqeeqah and I was going to our shop. One of our neighbors met me and said, “Be mindful and warn your sisters, because there will be Islam and Islam.” You are in the shop and I have nothing to do with anything that will happen, and I actually heard my brother’s words and went back to the shop.

About half an hour later, I met people saying that there was a quarrel with my sisters, Desouki and Islam. I sat in the shop and took a spare knife from the store and went to the quarrel. I found all of them working and beating some of them. So, I went to pull myself out of the suffocation because I might not see it, and I was afraid to take a beating. Then I ran outside the suffocation and found Hassan and Yasser my sisters outside and brought them Pepsi to wash them off. And then I spoke with my sisters, and Yasser said, “May God protect her, because I feel that peace has penetrated my chest, and I did not see anything because of what I was spraying in my eyes, and he said, if anything, you are like this, and if anything, I take it and Yasser then he turned himself in and we were not sure.” Islam is alive and not dead, because there was a lot of talk to some extent in the end. We were sure that the two died, and this is all that happened.

Q: When and where did that happen exactly?

A: This talk happened in the area of Imam Al-Ghazali in Al-Munira Al-Gharbiyye, and we were in Aqeeqah, the birth of our neighbor.

Q: Who was with you at the time and place mentioned above?

A: My sisters, Yasser and Hassan, and I.

Q: What is the behavior that you took following you became aware of the arrival of the victim, Desouki, to the place of the incident?

A: I called my brother Hassan on the phone, because Yasser Qaili, when he arrived, knew me.

Q: Was the accused Yasser Mahrez and had weapons at that time?

A: Yes, he had a white weapon “a knife”, I saw her with him in the fight, but I don’t know if it was from the first or not.

Q: Was there a dialogue between you and your accused brothers when they met you before committing the crime?

A: No, nothing happened between us.

Q: What did they do following that?

A: I cursed them and went to my shop and following that I knew that they were suffocating, but I did not know that they were suffocating with whom.

Q: What did you do following that?

A: I went to see what I found. They came out of the chokehold and brought them Pepsi to wash their eyes, because the people who were in the chokehold told me that they needed to spray them.

Q: Were you armed with weapons when you went to the scene of the incident?

A: Yes.

Q: What did you do following arriving at the scene of the incident?

A: I entered the quarrel and still did not do something. I found Islam spraying me with something I did not see from my eyes. I went and took a side because I did not see anything and I was afraid to reckless and do something, and I went to get Pepsi and wash my eyes because I did not see it at that time, and I found my sisters Yasser and Hassan outside and I did not see anything my costume.

Q: What happened following that?

A: After I ended the stifling, I found Umm Desouki coming to our shop and wanting to suffocate, so we went inside and closed the shop and walked from the place.

Q: Was there a dialogue between your brothers following you committed the crime?

A: When we walked, each one of us went to one side and did not meet once more to talk regarding this quarrelsome dialogue.

Q: What is the reason for this particular incident?

A: This was a period of partnership between them, but I don’t know what exactly caused it, because I didn’t go to the shop a lot, and I understood that when they were talking on the day the shop came down.

Q: Were those disputes settled?

A: I don’t know.

Q: Have you heard of any of the roles of your brothers who are accused of committing that incident?

A: When I was sprayed with needles, I did not see who hit whom or who did I hit.

Q: What do you say regarding what was mentioned in your question regarding the investigations of the Public Prosecution, regarding you witnessing the parties to the incident when they attacked each other… and that you intervened while you had the knife?

A: I really meant that when I entered, it was all hitting each other, and then I sprayed something in my eyes, I don’t know what it was.

Q: What is your intention of perpetrating that particular incident?

A: I don’t know anything, I went at the end of the quarrel, but I didn’t mean to kill him.

Q: Have you been caught in similar cases before?

A: Yes, the quarrel that was between us was old – the one in the first month of 3 – and it ended with reconciliation.

The investigations of the head of the investigations of the Al-Munira Al-Gharbia department indicated that the three accused – the pickle dealers – assaulted the two victims, “Desouki and Islam”, using white weapons “knives” and inflicted the injuries that took their lives, following financial disputes between the victim, “Desouki”. And between the first accused, “Yasser”, because of his partnership between them in the trade in pickles, and since regarding a month before that incident, a quarrel broke out between them and they were presented to the Public Prosecution, and they acknowledged the reconciliation between them during that, and for that they were released.

The investigations added that on the day of the incident, they met the aforementioned during a ceremony (Aqiqah) on the street, the residence of the accused and the victim, and a verbal altercation occurred between them, which angered the accused, who left the party and summoned his two brothers, “Hassan and Sameh” and lurked with white weapons until the victim came out. Desouki from the party, when they beat him and “Yasser” stabbed him and caused his life injury, using a white weapon (knife), while the accused “Hassan and Sameh” drove the people away and prevented them from interfering to end the quarrel until their brother was able to complete his crime.

Circuit 33 of the Giza Criminal Court decided to postpone the first session of the trial of 3 brothers accused of killing two brothers, “Islam and Desouki”, in the “Imam Al-Ghazali Battle” case in Imbaba, to the current November 7 session to hear the testimony of the witnesses.

Khaled Al-Sebaa, the lawyer for the victims of the “Imam Al-Ghazali battle”, demanded from the court that the maximum penalty be imposed on the three accused, “Yasser, Hassan and Sameh”, pickle dealers.
