As part of the modernization plan of the telecommunications company Cantv, in the José Félix Ribas community, located in the Mario Briceño Iragorry municipality of Aragua state, the installation of the ABA Ultra fiber optic internet service with GPON technology is being carried out.
In its first phase, 303 users were able to access 100 MB broadband, through the replacement of the old copper material used by the Maracay-Centro headquarters workforce, nine institutions, a Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI), homes and businesses have the new technology.
During a meeting with the community of this parish, Mr. Jesús Aldana, president of Cantv, indicated that this action is part of the fulfillment of the objectives, “which is why the company was nationalized to bring communication, a quality service and a fair price to each territory.”
He stressed that before the pandemic, most users were below 4 Mb, an insufficient signal in the face of new technologies, which is why they are working to offer higher speed plans.
For her part, Governor Karina Carpio considered that this is the result, among other aspects, of the planning and organization tables in the area of telecommunications.
Meanwhile, Mayor Brullerby Suárez said that the internet service has finally arrived in the sectors of José Félix Ribas, while he requested national and regional authorities to extend the program to all of MBI.
