**Interview with Yanara Vivas on New Liquor Store Regulations in El Vigía**
**Interviewer:** Thank you for joining us today, Yanara. Recently, there has been controversy regarding the proposed installation of a liquor store near the Razetti Clinic and a Directed Task Center in El Vigía. Can you explain what specific regulations this store may be violating?
**Yanara Vivas:** Thank you for having me. The proposed liquor store would be in direct violation of the Total Reform of the Ordinance on the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages in the Alberto Adriani municipality. This ordinance clearly states that alcoholic beverage outlets must be located at least 200 meters away from hospitals and educational centers.
**Interviewer:** That’s a significant distance. What are the origins of this ordinance?
**Yanara Vivas:** The ordinance was published in the Municipal Gazette on November 6, 2023. It was ordered by Mayor Lisandro Segura and ratified by local council members. Essentially, it aims to protect public health and education by controlling the proximity of alcohol sales to sensitive areas.
**Interviewer:** How does the ordinance define “hospitals” and “educational centers”?
**Yanara Vivas:** The ordinance includes all hospitals, clinics with hospitalization, nursing homes, and health centers under the term “hospitals.” The Razetti Clinic fits this description, and the directed task-center has been a recognized educational institution for many years, further justifying the restrictions.
**Interviewer:** Have municipal authorities been notified about these potential violations?
**Yanara Vivas:** Yes, we have reached out to municipal authorities, calling on them to uphold the rule of law while supporting the right to work. It’s crucial that any new businesses are compliant with these local ordinances to ensure community safety.
**Interviewer:** What do you think will be the outcome if the liquor store is allowed to open?
**Yanara Vivas:** If the store opens, it could undermine the intent of the ordinance, potentially leading to health and social issues within the community, especially considering its proximity to both a healthcare facility and an educational institution. It’s imperative that the ordinance is enforced to maintain a healthy environment in El Vigía.
**Interviewer:** Thank you, Yanara, for your insights on this important community issue. We hope that the municipal authorities take your concerns into account.
**Yanara Vivas:** Thank you for the opportunity to discuss this matter. It’s crucial that the community stands together to ensure compliance with the law for our collective well-being.
