They impute the mayor of Guatire for corruption and abuse of functions

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Rodríguez would have ordered the demolition of three houses that were in the Terrinca de Guatire sector, where eight adults and three children lived.

The Public Ministry accused the mayor of the Zamora municipality of Miranda state, Raziel Enrique Rodríguez Villanueva, for allegedly being involved in corruption and abuse of functions.

The accusation, which was announced this Monday, April 25, occurred last Thursday, April 21, following Deputy Diosdado Cabello demanded an investigation into Rodríguez’s functions.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Rodríguez would have ordered the demolition of three houses that were in the Terrinca de Guatire sector, where eight adults and three children lived.

Subsequently, officials of the municipal police, supposedly following the instructions of the mayor, arrested the people who lived in the place, because in that space they would seek to favor the construction of a private company linked to the textile area,

The indictment hearing was held before representatives of the 10th, 20th and 25th Prosecutor’s Office of Miranda state.

During the act, the prosecutors in the case charged the local president with crimes of aggravated corruption, abuse of functions, execution of unauthorized activities, contravention of territorial planning plans, change, obstruction or sedimentation, degradation of land suitable for production of food, destruction of vegetation on the slopes, affectation and use of forest heritage species, perpetrator in the crime of threat and intimidation, unnecessary accomplice in the crime of illegitimate deprivation of liberty, collusion and unnecessary accomplice in the crime of simulation actually punishable.

For these same acts, Deputy Commissioner José Martín Ramos Parica, Chief Commissioner Belkis Yadira Ramírez Gallozo, Chief Commissioner Neile Yeimala Martínez Marín and Chief Supervisor Raúl Manuel Romero Chavarry are deprived of liberty.
