The Catalan club will have to sell three players, on which it will earn the previously indicated 200 million euros. It’s not just about the profit from the transfer, but also the salary of all three. Then Barcelona will be able to make further moves in the transfer market. It’s not only about signing players for cash, but also signing contracts with free agents.
Spanish media indicate that the three were to have already been selected by Barcelona’s financiers. The first of the candidates to leave is Anus Fati, who cannot find a place in Xavi’s squad. His agent Jorge Mendes has already been in contact with potential buyers and is convinced that an offer of €70 million will be made for the player in the summer.
Another player to leave is Franck Kessie. The Ivorian before the season came for free from AC Milan, but he did not find himself in the team and is usually only reserve. For him, the club could earn up to 30 million euros.
The last player is Jordi Alba, who has been playing for Barcelona since 2012. This season, he loses the fight for a place in the squad to the much younger Alejandro Balde and earns too much. Under the contract, his salary will increase to 36 million euros a year next season. Thus, he would become the substitute who earns the most in the entire team. Selling him could significantly strengthen the club’s budget.
