The mayor’s office of Tulancingo formalized the contracting of medical expenses insurance for 933 trusted employees of the municipality.
Mayor Jorge Márquez Alvarado, as well as members of the city council and administration officials announced the benefit last Friday.
The benefit, they explained, is renewed every year and it will be the first time that it will be granted to 933 trusted employees, including mobility officers, police, firefighters and administrative staff.
Said insurance will be valid for one year and officials will be able to access a free check-up for disease detection and up to 50 percent discount on laboratory studies.
In addition, for accident claims, it will give 110,000 pesos in case of death, 30,000 in funeral expenses or for loss of limbs, and 20,000 pesos for medical expenses.
The benefit, indicated the mayor’s office, is added to a life insurance that already exists through payroll payment.
The economic amount for contracting this insurance was 559 thousand 800 pesos and the Secretary of the Treasury coordinated said procedure, whose validity began on January 27.
