A second person was identified and indicted on charges related to illegal vehicle encounters in Philadelphia last weekend.

This is Devonte Vincent who is charged with three victims ranging from endangering the safety of others, aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct, harassment and fleeing from the police in a vehicle.

The individual was processed and bail was set for the three cases of $1.5 million in total, if he pays 10% he could be in the free community until his preliminary hearing.

“We want to send a clear message to everyone in Philadelphia and outside the city we will not tolerate this type of criminal activity,” said Assistant District Attorney Robert Listenbee.

The Commissioner of Investigations, Frank Vanore revealed that so far he has two people in custody and these are Johnny Martínez and Devonte Vincent. The individuals were prosecuted.

“We have surveillance cameras throughout the city and we have managed to identify several people. We are coming for you whether you are in Philadelphia or other states. The collaboration we have with other jurisdictions is important,” Vanore stressed.

He also mentioned that they work together with the authorities of Delaware where a 17-year-old girl was injured in one of the illegal racing events in South Philadelphia with the launching of fireworks and went to her state to receive medical attention. .

“The minor was admitted and they believed she was shot, but the investigation showed that she was hit by the Fireworks,” Vanore revealed. “We have a substantial contingent of detectives working on this case, because we are not going to allow what happened that weekend to go unpunished.”

The official added that of the 11 clandestine events that disintegrated and re-formed in the city of Brotherly Love, all the intersections where the illegal acts were carried out left damages of up to $1,500 that must be addressed by the Streets Department.
